Hello.  My name is 'Margie'--that is Magnificent Margareta Magnolia.  The two Malshi girls selected the last name Marigold but I and my sister chose to be called the Magnolia twins.  Not that we were actually twins, just sisters.  We are shi tzus reportedly with relatives who came from living in Argentina.

I am perhaps two pounds larger than the Malshi girls.  I am somewhat difficult to call.  On one hand I am very friendly but on the other hand I am just quite particular. I am a black and white color with quite a striking color pattern.  I dearly love my master but seldom chose to sit on anyone's lap, showing that shi tzu aloofness that we can be known for.

I gave birth to my first litter in the same week of last June as Millie and another shi tzu that you will hear about later.  However, both of the other two mothers grabbed a lot of attention by the fact that they each had six babies.  I agree that is quite a feat but it made my three puppy litter seem less impressive.  And to add to that fact, my babies were rather different.  They looked huge next to the other puppies.  My master often joked that they looked like baby whales.  Part of that was the fact that they were large, very fat, and took what seemed forever to be able to move about at all.  For a long time it seemed that they could just wallow around.  They seemed to sleep more than the other puppies and didn't seem to wake up out of that early puppy faze.  The other litters were getting up and about and mine were just laying there sleeping.

In their defense, they were actually beautiful.  Who would have imagined three golden and white puppies from a black and white mother and a silver poodle father?  The story began shaping up well.  The puppies finally alerted and began stirring about.  Even so, it took them forever to learn to eat on their own and they nursed far longer than the other litters.  And another thing became clear--they were beautiful and becoming even more beautiful as time went on.  Then suddenly one week it was like they just 'came alive'.  Personalities began to bloom and they became irresistably adorable. There were two little girls and one brother.  The little boy was purchased early and gone to a new home leaving the two girls.  They grew into rather awesomely beautiful girls perhaps a little larger than the other children but beautiful.

Like all of the mothers, I am not letting you go without some bragging about my kids -- and I just happen to have with me a photo of each one which you will find on the next page.

I also have decided not to have puppies for awhile.  There is plenty of time and I am enjoying being free of nursing puppies right now.  But who knows what comes next?
